Dr. Leanne Tortez, PhD works with organizations to help them improve through data-driven decision making. An organizational psychologist by training, she is passionate about using organizational research and data to better understand organizational systems and the people in them.
Leanne is an organizational psychologist whose primary interest is helping empower organizations to make data-driven decisions. Leanne is currently a Supervising Research Specialist at the county level, overseeing research and evaluation for Children’s Services.
She is a passionate researcher skilled in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method designs, and in advanced statistical analyses. She enjoys working with organizations to conduct assessments and evaluations, and helping organizations to better understand their own employees through data. Her research areas include the work-family interface, organizational social support, diversity and inclusion, and underrepresented groups such as shift workers and low-income employees.
Leanne also serves as Faculty in the Organizational and Leadership Psychology Department at William James College in Massachusetts, USA. She has presented at multiple conferences, including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, Association for Psychological Science, Western Psychological Association, and the Work and Family Researchers Network. She has also contributed to multiple journals and book chapters.
Leanne holds a doctorate degree in Applied Organizational Psychology and a masters in Industrial/Organizational psychology. She is a Certified Fearless Organization Scan (FOS) practitioner.
Leanne is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the American Psychological Association.
